Winemaking: A 10% parcel of barrel aged Sauvignon Blanc in Grande Reserve French Barriques was added to achieve a fuller mouth feel and provide more depth of palate and softening acids.
Tasting Comments: the nose on this wine has so much going on we were tossing up to either spritz it on like a perfume or drink it – think jasmine, lilies, lemon verbena, pear skins, tamarillo, tropical fruits, hints of green apple, blackcurrant jubes and subtle notes of Vietnamese mint. The small component of barrel fermented Semillon provides the soft-edged charm, creating an effortless balance between the punchy fruit of the Sauvignon Blanc. The finish is fresh and lively – Drink it with seafood, sunshine or someone you actually like.
