55% Semillon / 45% Sauvignon Blanc

Yield: Semillon -7 tonne/hectare Sauvignon Blanc -7 tonne/hectare

Soils: Loam over clay

Winemaking: A 10% parcel of barrel aged Sauvignon Blanc in Grande Reserve French Barriques was added to achieve a fuller mouth feel and provide more depth of palate and softening acids.

Tasting Comments: This is probably one of the best SSB blends we have done. The nose is full of honeysuckle, jasmine, pears, with the addition of Semillon’s famous cut grass characters and floral notes. The small portion of barrel fermented Semillon softens the palate with a slight creaminess but still allowing the above mentioned fruits to carry through to the palate with the citrus characters dominating. The finish is well rounded, long, full flavoured, fresh and mouth watering. Again, the perfect accompaniment to anything you need to do no matter how mundane.
